Inspection Officer Cdr Akshay Sahu's Visit to Woods Park Sainik School, Hamirpur, H.P
Woods Park Sainik School Hamirpur had the honor of welcoming the Inspection Officer appointed by Sainik School Society. Welcome with a Milan Parade, demonstrating discipline and unity among the cadets.
The parade was followed by a PowerPoint presentation showcasing the vibrant and holistic programs under Academic Plus, including:
- Drill Demonstration
- Fire Fighting Training
- Yoga Sessions
- Physical Training (PT)
- Excursion Activities
- First Aid Awareness and Training

A symbolic plantation ceremony was conducted, where the Inspection Officer planted a sindoor plant, which will be nurtured and taken care of by the cadets — promoting environmental awareness and responsibility.
The officer also visited the mess and dined with the cadets, expressing high appreciation for the quality, hygiene, and nutritional value of the food provided. Furthermore, the hostel dormitories were inspected and were found to be well-organized, clean, and efficiently managed, reflecting the disciplined lifestyle maintained by the cadets and staff.
The Inspection Officer appreciated the efforts of the Music Department. Cadets performed beautifully on classic melody songs, showcasing both talent and discipline. The Officer was particularly impressed by how the school integrates music as a form of therapy to help cadets settle emotionally. This innovative approach, led by the Music Director—who also serves as the school counselor—demonstrates the institution’s commitment to the overall well-being of its students.
